The Electric Falcon is an electric race car that was developed and built by Bowling Green State University students in 1993. It competed with other universities from across the country in the SCCA Formula Lightning class until the league folded in 2004.

The Electric Falcon was inducted into the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum, a part of the Western Reserve Historical Society in Cleveland, Ohio on October 7th, 2010. The car is on permenant display.

The Electric Falcon project spawned the creation of the Electric Vehicle Institute at BGSU. The EVI developed one of the first successful hybrid propulsion systems for a transit bus. The EVI has also worked with NASA on several research projects, and created the BGSU Grand Prix- an annual ethanol powered go kart race.

This site is dedicated to preserving the history of the Electric Falcon and is under construction at this time. Please check back later for updates.

If you are in the Cleveland, Ohio area, stop by the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum to experience the car in person.
